The legacy giving that started in NBA’s early years truly blossomed during this era. Older Disciples–many as residents in NBA retirement communities–had both the passion for the church’s benevolent work and the capacity to give generously, leading to an abundance of investment in legacy giving.
At its peak, NBA’s development staff numbered more than 30 in the Central Office, and more than 100 amidst NBA’s agencies. NBA’s reorganization paved the way for Christian Church Foundation to facilitate opportunities for planned gifts that benefit any and all Disciples causes.
We stand on the shoulders of giants, and we are forever grateful for the foresight and commitment of the faithful donors throughout NBA’s history, who make NBA’s health and social service ministry possible today!
